  • Minimum of 3 years Windows systems administration experience
  • 2-5 years of experience with McAfee Host Based Security System (HBSS).
  • Experience with HBSS suite of McAfee tools
  • Must obtain HBSS Admin certificate within two weeks of hire
  • Ability to remotely load McAfee agent on clients to manage groups, systems and policy assignments.
  • Ability to view and configure a Policy Catalog to deploy policy settings for deployable products. Able to create policy assignment rules

  • Solid knowledge of network administration and possess network configuration management skills
  • Must be able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance
  • 8570 Compliance IAT Level II or higher (Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security active certification required)
  • Experience working within a process improvement environment such as CMMI desired
  • Experience with best practice methodologies such as ITIL desired
  • Experience with Reporting with Systems Management Center, Systems Management Server or SCCM 2012 desired
  • Experience with supporting a DoD Production Environment desired
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field desired
  • MCSA and/or MCSE 2012/2008 desired


  • Day to day administration of the HBSS environment to include engineering new solutions as needed
  • Ability to perform and interpret vulnerability assessments
  • Apply security patches, IAVAs, STIGs, and updates for all assigned systems
  • Conducts certification test analysis and technical evaluations for vulnerabilities and must possess the ability to recommend and apply security countermeasures to mitigate identified risks
  • Participates in the security engineering, validation testing of system configuration/hardening, and assessment of classified information systems (IS).
  • Experience with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).

This position will support, monitor and maintain an IT infrastructure consisting of Windows Enterprise servers. Job duties include supporting over 400 production servers and 4,300 client computers in a LAN/WAN environment. You will be a member of a Network Operations team of system and network administrator, and enterprise Subject Matter Experts located in the Washington, DC metro area. You will be expected to share time with the other System Administrators in providing on-call 24x7 support and there will be some after hours and weekend responsibilities expected.

  • Resolve software and related problems associated on HBSS, SCCM, and Windows
  • Perform application patches, updates and tech bulletins in the production environment
  • Assist Systems Lead with related tasks as required
  • Assist Network Administrators to maintain the environment as required
