    System Architect

     

    Required:

    • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience designing, implementing and troubleshooting enterprise class information technology systems, or 14 yrs. of experience in lieu of the degree.
    • CompTIA Security+ ce, equivalent, or higher certification (DOD 8570.01M)
    • Shall possess at least one of the following certifications: VMware, MCSE, or CCNP.
    • Extensive IT knowledge and experience translating business processes and customer requirements into strategic IT implementation plans in a Department of Defense Environment .
    • Experience with gap analysis between current and future state and identifying opportunities to improve provided IT services.
    • Experience with designing/implementing/supporting comprehensive, modular Enterprise IT solutions Planning, organizational, project and portfolio management skills.
    • Experience and/or familiar with annual assessments, ATO, and/or CCRI processes as required and STIG requirements.
    • Hands-on experience with gathering and developing technical analysis for business requirements.
    • Very strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must be able to providehi-level technical feedback, guidance, and advice during teleconferences and meetings.
    • Public Trust security clearance required.

    Desired:

    • Current or prior work experience in the DHA environment.
    • Experince working with Electronic Healthcare Records (EHR) or Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
    • PMP or other management certification preferred.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience managing and providing direction to an engineering team.
    • Extensive IT knowledge and experience translating business processes and customer requirements into strategic IT implementation plans in a Department of Defense Environment 
    • Experience with gap analysis between current and future state and identifying opportunities to improve provided IT services 
    • Experience with designing/implementing/supporting comprehensive, modular Enterprise IT solutions Planning, organizational, project and portfolio management skills
    • Experience and/or familiar with annual assessments, ATO, and/or CCRI processes as required and STIG requirements.
    • At least 10 years of experience designing, implementing and troubleshooting enterprise class information technology systems.
    • Public Trust Clearance required.
    • Hands-on experience with business requirements gathering/analysis
    • Proven experience in systems and network design and development
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Must be able to provide technical feedback, guidance, and advice during teleconferences and meetings
    • Must be proficient in technical writing and able to successfully communicate in person and on the phone with both technical and acquisition specialists
    • Experience managing 24x7x365 operations, critical problem escalation and resolution and vendor management.
    • Shall possess at least one of the following capacities:
      • Current VMware Certification such as VCP-DCV/DT with strong experience implementing and troubleshooting VMware vSphere 5.x/6.x, Horizon View 6.x/7.x
      • Current MCSE Certification with strong experience implementing and troubleshooting Windows,
      • Active Directory, supporting services including DNS, DHCP, OS patching including SCCM, monitoring systems including Solar Winds and certificate authorities.
      • Current Cisco Certification to include CCNP Data Center/Routing and witching/Security/Wireless certifications with strong experience implementing and troubleshooting core/closet switches, WiFi implementation, firewall rules, WAN connections and load balancers.
    • Ensures requirements comply with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods.
    • Translates high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower level detailed implementation requirements.
    • Customer liaison and support for business development activities and to understand and shape requirements.
    • Participates in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation.
    • Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements.
    • Develop, document, communicate and enforce a policy for standardizing systems and software as necessary
    • Assess technical options for solution components and integrations in an implementation project; evaluate possible technologies and packages; make and defend technology and package recommendations.
